We recently had our first litter of the year on May 10th, 2009

Hello and welcome to Silent Knight Shepherds. This is a small kennel located in the Ozarks of Mid-Missouri with one goal in mind, to produce the finest DDR and Czech Shepherds out of amazing working lines.

Each puppy raised at Silent Knight Kennels is the definition of a "real" German Shepherd. We DO NOT raise mass amounts of litters as a means of income, it is purely out of love for the German Shepherd dog. Puppies are born within our home and raised underfoot to ensure excellent temperament, solid nerves, and unmatched characteristics. Silent Knight employs a philosophy of praise, fairness, and discipline, set against a background of patience, repetition, and dedication. Not only does Silent Knight have the experience of a certified trainer we have also studied the training methods set by The Monks of New Skete. Who we believe knows the German Shepherd breed better then anyone else. With knowledge and understanding aquired from many years Silent Knight is capable of molding the German Shepherd into a well balanced adult for a healthy lifelong relationship between owner and dog. Though each Silent Knight Shepherd is a beautiful AKC registered dog, other then just giving you a piece of paper saying so we are more concerned about how the dog will react in different situations. For instance, a crowd of people, the presence of a child, other dogs or animals? Socializing the puppy is the most important step in training, and we take it very seriously here at Silent Knight Kennels. So ask yourself, would you rather have a paper saying your dog is supposed to be smart or actually have a dog that can display it themselves?

Apart from being family guardians, running partners, security devices, or companions Silent Knight also specializes in training our shepherds for handicapped individuals. They will be trained in standard AKC obedience HEEL - SIT - STAY - COME - DOWN - EXTENDED DOWN STAY. By utilizing a wheelchair as a training tool the owner will be able to control the dog and enjoy the company and theraputic power of a dog from their own wheelchair. This will enable the owner to go on their daily routine under the watchful eyes of a Silent Knight. Check out the videos soon to come!

A special thanks goes out to Trevor Yanske and Brian Andrews for helping make   silentknightk9.com possible. Thank You.
